Our dear family and friends,

An opportunity has presented itself for Mike to go to Japan along with Danny Iverson (son of missionary Dan Iverson) to help out with relief efforts in some of the hardest-hit areas. We have heard first-hand reports from the missionaries there about how desperate people there are for water, and one of our purposes in going is to deliver water-purifiers to coastal towns like Iwaki. But we also are going to offer prayer, encouragement, emotional support, and most of all, the Living Water of faith in Jesus Christ to our Japanese brothers and sisters.

Our small three-person team is setting a fund-raising goal of $3,000 each , enough to cover airfare as well as to buy one large water-purifier each. These purifiers can be carried as backpacks, but are strong enough to provide water for 500 people a day. Please prayerfully consider making a pledge of support so that we can deliver as much aid as possible. (I will send details about where to send your donations in the in the next couple of days.)

But most importantly, Please join us in praying that this intense physical thirst would lead many to an awareness of their spiritual thirst that only the gospel can meet! And pray that God’s spirit would sweep like a tsunami over the ENTIRE NATION, and that the fruit that would be produced would be greater than the devastation caused by this horrible disaster.

Thank you for praying for our beloved Japan, as well as for Mike’s preparations and safety.

Kami-sama no shukufuku ga Nihon no ue ni narimasu you ni (May God’s blessing be on Japan)!

-Mike & Jen Costanzo
