Thanks for waiting, everyone! Here is the latest on Naomi and Jen:
Jen came home from the hospital today! She is obviously tired, and sad to have to be apart from Naomi, but is nevertheless trusting in God’s good care of our dear little daughter.
Meanwhile, Naomi’s feeding tube surgery has been postponed until Monday due to to some minor respiratory problems (ductus not closed and thus a bit too much blood entering the lungs and taking up space). The decision to postpone is a good one, since the feeding tube is not an essential surgery, and waiting until Monday will be safer and give them time to fix this problem.
So, this is a bit of a bump in the road, but it’s not the first and it almost certainly won’t be the last. Situations change and problems come and go, but Jesus has said, “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” Praise Him for His goodness, and please continue to pray for our dear little one!
Almost forgot, here are more pictures! These were taken yesterday when Naomi was awake and in good spirits. She was even opening her eyes for us! What a sweet little girl! 🙂
